Giving Back
Throughout her life, Dr. Olivia has loved giving back to others. She has gone on healthcare outreach trips to rural areas if Southern and Eastern Taiwan, Indonesia, and Valencia, Spain.
Meeting and working with people around the world has given her an appreciation for the unique needs of each of her patients. Dr. Alisha loves the relationships she’s able to make with her patients and their families.
Background
Dr. Alisha was born and raised in Burnsville, which is where she had her first exposure to orthodontics with her own treatment. She knew from a young age that the happiness and confidence she received from her own orthodontic treatment was something she wanted to bring to others.
Education
Dr. Alisha began her journey towards orthodontics at Gustavus Adolphus College, where she received her degree in Biology. She moved on to the University of Minnesota for her dental studies and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
She was fortunate enough to continue on at the U of M for her orthodontic education, where she received her Masters of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Alisha is a life-long learner. She frequently attends local and national meetings to stay up-to-date on new and emerging research. She has extensive education and experience with digital and 3D technologies and is excited to bring her knowledge and experiences to the Kottemann Orthodontic family.
Outside the Office
When she’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Alisha loves to take advantage of all Minnesota has to offer. She enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and spending time on the lakes.
When the weather is less than ideal, you can find her reading, crocheting, and hitting up local restaurants. Easily her favorite thing to do is gather with friends and family to enjoy good conversation, great food, and lots of laughter.
